Fix Outlook Running Out of Mailbox Space Issue

Is your Outlook mail box running out of space? Here are the quick fixes you can try to get rid of the problem. Keep reading to learn everything thoroughly.

Solution 1: Archive Older items


  • Go to the Outlook and click File in the top-left corner of the screen.

  • After that, click on "Info" and select "Tools."

  • Then, click on the “Clean up old items” option.

  • Choose Archive this folder and all subfolders.

  • Next, you need to choose the folder you want to archive.

  • in the 'Archive items older than' section you should select a date according to your choice.

  • Furthermore, to archive the chosen folders, check Include items with 'Do not AutoArchive' selected to ensure all items are archived.

  • On the prompt click on the Ok button.


Solution 2: Clean Deleted Items and Junk Folders

  • Access the Outlook program on your computer device.

  • Select "File" in the top-left corner of the screen.

  • Plus, from the bottom left side of the screen you should select "Options."

  • Then, click on the Advanced option.

  • From the Outlook start and exit section, click on the checkbox of the “Empty Deleted Items folders when exiting Outlook.”

  • Select the OK option to apply all the changes.


Solution 3: Delete Emails With Attachments After Saving Them Externally

  • On the Outlook program choose the e-mail attachment you want to save and store.

  • Now, from the list of actions select the “Save as” option.

  • In addition, you should browse to the folders where you want to store the attachments, then click Save.
