Due to some technical glitches and changes in your iPhone settings, the Comcast email can show problems. This problem can be fixed quickly with the help of the right solutions. Below are the two most effective methods you can use to see if you are able to resolve the issue. Make sure to follow these steps properly.
Solution 1: Update Your iOS Software
Go to your device and make sure it is connected to the internet.
Also, check that the device has enough battery.
Then, you need to go to the Settings window.
Next, tap on the General option.
Select the Software Update option.
Now, look for any updates and tap Update Now if there is one.
If necessary, type your passcode to install the update.
Once the update is finished, your device will update automatically.
Solution 2: Set Up Comcast Email Settings
First, head to Settings, scroll, and select Mail.
Next, you should choose the Accounts, then tap on Add Account.
Then, you need to tap on the Others option.
On the next page, type your Xfinity email details and tap on Next.
When the Mail automatically finds settings, enable the Mail option and tap on Save.
Moreover, in another case, you need to fill in the settings manually by going back to the Comcast email service in Mail settings.
Go to the Incoming Mail Server section, set the Host Name to mail.comcast.net.
Select the Host Name in the Outgoing Mail Server to smtp.comcast.net.
Enable the Use SSL option, enter 587 in Server Port, then tap on Done.
Now, you are required to toggle on the Mail in the Account Added screen and tap on Save.
Furthermore, head back to account settings and tap on Advanced.
Make sure that the “Use SSL” is enabled, the authentication type is set to “Password,” and the server port is set to 995.
Now, check if your email has started working.
